The Eighties

Day 18

Prompt: Pick 2 vowels and write a poem using words that only contain one or both of those vowels.

The Eighties

Since nineteen eighty six,
I lived in the rebel times were
every sex was hipped,
ripped in tight designer fits,
girls dressed in leggings, bright prints with miniskirts.
every first thing big in size,
birth of primetime series and disc drives.
spirits injecting new highs in their veins.
Infinite HIV crisis in effect---
every since it went live and direct.
Existing president served twice,
IBM invented plenty devices,
Lite Brite devised simple and light,
liberty, like civil rights---the new beginning in endless fights.
