PAD Challenge Day 4: 2775 Miles Apart

Prompt 4: Write a distance poem.

2775 Miles Apart
Standing in Carolina blue, I thought:
If I leave now,
I could sightsee through Tennessee,
Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas,
New Mexico and Arizona
for thirty nine hours and twenty six minutes.

If I wait until next week,
seat myself in seven A,
then I’ll have a bird’s-eye view
for four hours non-stop.

If I just dial ten,
I’ll only gain your voice,
and lose my train of thoughts
until I see you again.
