PAD Challenge Day 14: Interlude

PAD Challenge Day 14

Prompt: Write a time-out poem.

Sorry Brothers, I can’t watch your back today.
Sorry Sisters, I can’t gift an ear or a shoulder.
Sorry Momma and Daddy, I promise I’ll get back to you when I’m through.
Sorry World, I have no words of inspiration for you too!

Sorry Touchscreens, I won’t be touching, sharing, or liking through you.
Sorry Newscast, I have no story for you or care to hear yours too.
Sorry Radio, I’m not in the mood to groove with you.
Sorry Pen and Paper, I will not be supporting your fillings for my feelings.
As a matter of fact, I’m about to excuse you two!
Get on bended knees,
lift up my hands,
bow my head,
and say what I have to say.

“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”-Matthews 6:6
