Love Story

Whenever, wherever you are
If you have time, I have time
Bring your whole heart
I'll bring mine
We'll build mutual trust
Laugh at pasttime lovers
Show and tell our
scars, dreams, and ambitions
Exchange our secrets and fantasies
Play our rhythm and blues
Share the last of the last of little things
Invest in our tomorrow
I'll be ying, if you be yang
We'll joy ride our highs and lows
Sing on and off key like lovebirds
Be each other's shelter through the rain
We'll spark fire and desire infinitely
Share light internally
I'll be Simile, if you'll be metaphor
We'll dance poetry off blank pages
without losing the beat behind
the His and Hers that make our love story.

Don't Be Surprised  If the sun's full round face becomes a square  in between patches of scattered clouds.  If the moon no longer opens the night and  the stars no longer dance around your head. If the birds don't hold a tune  and the caterpillars never cocoon.  If the ocean doesn't wave and  the trees don't stare back at you. If the ones that loved you today,  hate you tomorrow. If the favorite voice you once heard goes weak and can no longer speak. If the lips you once french kissed,  harvest a new passionate tongue of deceit. PAD Challenge Day 22: What I 💜 About My Sister-Friends

PAD Challenge Day 22: Write a "What (blank)" poem. What I Love About My Sister-Friends  I have three older than me. One is 49.  She could be President  but she's an Oprah and  First Lady Michelle to me. One is 47.  She is the carribean carnival of life. Teaches me to never think twice. One is almost 43.  She can set a flame of excellence throughout an entire community. Then there are three; the same age as me. One is an Aries too. Adventurous, independent and empathic like me. Two is cool water, loyal and assertive.  Three is Vogue and creates things you've never thought you would see. Four of us together,  we're like the Louisiana's holy trinity. But what I really love about my sister friends is their unconditional love, and transparency. We even have the same positive energy. We can show our wounds, share our woes,  cry, laugh, defend  and be our authentic selves without feeling like frenemies. D'ElegantOne
