PAD Challenge Day 3: Write a communication poem.

Lipstick Conversations

I have new shades to leave,
covertly and boldly on your skin;
passionately smear off in
the heatwave of this seduction
as you spontaneously choose
to nibble then slightly rest on 
the circumference of my full lips.

I love the sight and sound
of this tug of war and how
you exchange a single kiss
for a french one--
taking advantage of the taste buds,
dripping off my cherry tongue
as we slowly, silently disconnect
until these wordless actions
trace your lips back to mine again.

Don't Be Surprised  If the sun's full round face becomes a square  in between patches of scattered clouds.  If the moon no longer opens the night and  the stars no longer dance around your head. If the birds don't hold a tune  and the caterpillars never cocoon.  If the ocean doesn't wave and  the trees don't stare back at you. If the ones that loved you today,  hate you tomorrow. If the favorite voice you once heard goes weak and can no longer speak. If the lips you once french kissed,  harvest a new passionate tongue of deceit. If the arms that knit your heart close,  cut your heartbeat thread loose. If the one that was quick with a vital  hello is the first to ghost you with no excuse. PAD Challenge Day 22: Write a "What (blank)" poem. What I Love About My Sister-Friends  I have three older than me. One is 49.  She could be President  but she's an Oprah and  First Lady Michelle to me. One is 47.  She is the carribean carnival of life. Teaches me to never think twice. One is almost 43.  She can set a flame of excellence throughout an entire community. Then there are three; the same age as me. One is an Aries too. Adventurous, independent and empathic like me. Two is cool water, loyal and assertive.  Three is Vogue and creates things you've never thought you would see. Four of us together,  we're like the Louisiana's holy trinity. But what I really love about my sister friends is their unconditional love, and transparency. We even have the same positive energy. We can show our wounds, share our woes,  cry, laugh, defend  and be our authentic selves without feeling like frenemies. D'ElegantOne
