Wednesday's Poetry Prompt: Write a crime poem.

Acquitted

I ain't going up nobody's river 
to do hard time 
for the shots of love 
I point-blank aimed at you
'Cause the way I loved you-
non-incognito 
without suppressing 
my infinite ammunition 
 
Beyond reasonable doubt
Your thirsty soul alone 
proved my innocence 
You'd never had love 
explicit like this

True devotion & desire 

     under the influence of agape

without forged feelings
a breach of trust and loyalty 
Zero fraudulent seductions 
under operations after
laundering my emotional intelligence 
and embezzling my time...

So 
     Please
Charge 
      no infractions 
to my heart for loving you right...

Farewell 2025: My greatest loss and wins….   My greatest loss this year: (deep breath…sighs) was the death of my beloved sister-friend. If I looked like I lost my best friend, I did. Now, I know what it means to lose a best friend and sister in one. I lost the first person I felt comfortable calling her a big sister. A person I talked to everyday by call or text. Welcome Readers, It is not an easy transition into a grown woman from a girl. But I manage. I’m succeeding my womanhood, individuality, and essence to make the best of what I call “my life”.   Everything is everything.
