Wednesday's Poetry Prompt: A Love Like Summer π
Wednesday's Poetry Prompt: Write a summer poem.
A Love Like Summer
I want a summer love surpassing the first 92
days of a spring fling. I want to take a new
heat of passion further than 93 days of an
infatuated summer where I can fortunately
harvest the highest comfort and sustain the
happiest feelings of knowing, being secured,
safe and sound enough to fall softly in love
and the only coldest winter ever is the last
season of the calendar year that him and I
spring warmth together in, side by side.
I want a summer love without a long summer
break of wishful thinking followed by
withering forget-me-nots and sour sweet
nothings that mean nothing.
I want a summer love so freshly born into it's
divine season like the juice of a blackberry
waiting to stain the purest essence of love to
the window of my stained glass heart.
I want a summer love healthy and sweet
as a watermelon, never too much to hold,
anxiously tapping the webs of hidden, full
flavor and splitting thick skin for juicy juices
to run down for only his tongue to save and savor.
I want a summer love scorching hot like
flames from the bonfire love making that
our bodies make in the evenings until
the wee hours of the morning.
I want a summer love full of natural,
decorative light like fireflies. I shine. You
shine. We fly bright black and high together.
I want a summer love constantly on repeat
like a hot summer jam. We're each other's
billboard number one. Certified diamonds in
this golden unit shared.
I want a summer love like a concert- live,
full of surprising musical features, where we're each
other's line up, back to back, in the acts of a
private intimate acoustic affair. We're each
other's VIP, in front row to a genuine one band and one
sound. We're each other's number one fan.
Our words are love ballads over the natural drummer
set of our heartbeats.
I want a summer love that swings me so high
in the sky that only gravity can bring me back
low to his love for more summer love after
another summer and another summer again.
