PAD Challenge Day 6: Write a poem that smells.


To Wake Up and Smell The Flowers 

On the day before 
four o' seven
Soul is happy as heaven 
To awake at seven o' seven

Lungs filled with oxygen
Young bones full of collagen 
Skin soft as love
Thank God almighty from above

Sniff sniff 

No birthday blues
One in a million 
SMS of "I love you"

Sniff sniff 

To be alive with 
strong stem
Beautiful and cheerful 
Like them

Sniff sniff

Greatest gift 
of a lifetime 
In these times
To wake up 
walk by and 
be gifted flowers 
without notice of 
life's final hour

PAD Challenge Day 27: Write an an anapodoton poem. Cake and Eat It Too  Life is not always berry sweet full of confetti, rainbows  and butteflies in our circle of life. It can sprinkle unfortunate surprises. We can receive lemons after lemons  in a dark black forest of medley roses, even when our hearts are red velvet. Anywhere there's an Angel, a Devil will try to cake up; Get rich off your Godly confections. Kind of ice cold to say, Vanilla and Chocolate  will never always have a fair  share of what rises and pans out. The entanglement of the swirl  is just as incompatible and conflicting. No matter the number of layers, some will be handed corners, others more centers of it all. No matter how small, medium or large; Short or tall; Buttercream is not always  creme de la creme to us all. But we must keep a glaze  on God's miracle whips. Far from steel more like black steel magnolias. Full of poise, grace, and dignity. Unashamed of their blackness and femininity. Known for sprinkling and passing down black girl magic for me to sparkle. Superpowers unmatched. Known for genius intellect, inspiration and uncommon favor Ladies of fortitude Knowledge of occult Pioneers of generational healings Unconditional love The strongest black panthers on earth Warriors of faith The only Queens of Pentacles that knew how to free us Lead us through nonviolent resistance in the civil rights movement.
