PAD Challenge Day 16: Touch These Streets

PAD Challenge Day 16: Write a touch poem.

Touch These Streets

It has been years since
I touched some of these streets
in the City of Fayetteville.
Touch, I mean by foot,
with my Lancome's Miracle
scent hugging the wind back.
These few Avenues of paradise
Boulevard of unborn dreams
Circles of generational destruction
Roads of rage and revenge
Courts of appeal to motion
Lanes where visitors and natives
seldomly stay in their lane
Cul-de-sacs that welcomed
more you turns than U-turns
Many one-ways that ville rebels
metamorphosed into two for
another native or foreigner
to exit with the hope of
making something,
if anything,
two times better
than before.
